I have been doing genealogical research, as a hobby, for 23 years. I now have over 3'500 people researched and documented in my family tree, with 3'000 documents (census records, birth, death, marriage certificates, military records and land purchase agreements). I have lived in Switzerland for 23 years and speak fluent English, German, Swiss-German and good-level French. I can translate written documents.

My great-great grandfather was the founder of the Initial Towel Supply Company, now Rentokil Initial. Descendant of Irish, Scottish, English and Swiss ancestors, my family first arrived in the U.S. in 1620. Initially Settling on the east coast, in Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina and Indiana, my great-grandfather went west on the Oregon Trail with his siblings to settle in Silverton and then Salem, Oregon. My 2 Swiss great-great-great-great grandfathers were some of the initial settlers and landowners of the wine town Vevay, Switzerland County, Indiana, USA. Family lore says my mother's family are descended from the O'Conors of Connaught and the last High Kings of Ireland. I am in pursuit of and trying to fill in the missing links of this this legend.

I can research documents in Switzerland and am interested in photographing gravestones, old family churches, villages and old family homes in Switzerland. I am excited to hear about your research goals and how I can help.

Please contact  me to discuss how I can help research your family roots in Switzerland. You can reach me by email at: info@genlabs.ch
